Hello readers, it's that time of the week again already. Firstly can I welcome our new members from the South Coast to their first #sundaymorningwalk from the Midlands, I hope you can understand my Brummie sense of humour. 7.37am as I set the timer on the oven for 1hr 25 min to cook the seasoned joint of beef to perfection, I check the temperature outside, 3 degrees but with a wind chill of - 4 it's on with the big quilted coat, hat and no gloves, im off out of the backdoor for another adventure on my #sundaymorningwalk I know I can't be out for too long as I need to get back to remove the joint from the oven as the gaffer likes her meat a certain way and I'd hate to disappoint her. So with one eye on the clock I head towards the lake, walking the reverse way to my normal route just to mix things up a bit. I head to towards Church Hill centre crossing the bus lane for the first time and on to Church Hill South. Every town has its handful of idiots but why anyone would w...

Hello again readers, it's that time of the week again, so at just before 7.56am I'm off out of the front door on another #sundaymorningwalk. Front door? I hear you say, yes it's not a typo. Slight change of plan, we were expecting to be entertaining the pearly King and Queen of Plaistow this weekend but with the sudden arrival of Felicity on Monday we couldn't wait to see the new arrival so headed down to the (not so) sunshine Coast on Thursday evening, after work yes after work, hardcore 😉. Anyway its a cool 2 degrees as I leave the house but I soon warm up as I march on. I take the wide path between houses that leads to Lottebridge Drove. The cut to my right seems well maintained and a few moorhens glide past. A cyclist tinkles her bell warning of her passing from my rear, I hold my hand up in acknowledgement and say good morning as she flies past. A couple of bright lycra cladded joggers/stumblers approach slowly, I greet them with a good morning, alrig...

Hello again readers, it's that time of the week again, so with a nice bit of beef prepared and placed in the oven, dishwasher full from last nights meal with Gavlar and Jayne and switched on, cup of tea and headache tablets delivered to the hungover gaffer upstairs and with the clock ticking over to 8.05am I'm off out the gate on another #sundaymorningwalk. It's quite mild out again today 9 degrees according to my phone but a slight breeze knocks a couple of degrees off that. I'm sure we will pay for all this mild weather soon.  The first bit of wildlife I see is a little white tiger staring at me I stare back a while before continuing through the woods. The babbling Brook struggling to babble after the lack of rain recently is a sorrowful sight.  A juvenile sparrow patiently waits whilst I capture his image.  I here rustling to my left just after the underpass and I spy a rabbit,  luckily for me it doesn't know I'...

Hello again readers, it's that time of the week again.  So with a nice gammon joint prepared and placed in the slow cooker covered in coke, a quartered onion and 2 star anise at 8.20am I'm off out the back door off on another #sundaymorningwalk. It's so hard to drag oneself out of bed during the winter months, roll on spring and the lighter warmer mornings.  A chilly 4 degrees with just a t shirt on under my huge feather puffa jacket, a hat which I'll remove later and no gloves, hard-core 😊 My mission today is not the usual Tits, Robins (although I did find a couple of posers) doggers or joggers, I'm looking for a shopping trolley. As you may know Eastbourne is the capital of the abandoned shopping trolley, every walk I take I find one when on location on the Sunshine Coast (I'm sure Briony Fowler plants them for me to find, like an adult Easter egg hunt but with trollies) so I thought I'd try and photograph one up here in Worcestershire. I mak...

Hello readers, it's that time of the week again, a very mild 7 degrees but damp and murky overhead, no meat to prepare today as we're meeting me dad and sister for lunch. With the click ticking over to a rather late 8:42am I'm off out the back door on another #sundaymorningwalk. Christmas lights on houses left on overnight or switched on early light my way through the woods. So nice of the council to clear the leaves off the path, just wish they'd do something about the huge puddle that appears eveytme it rains, it wrecks my nice shoes when we walk to the village for a nice drink.😔 The babbling brook is a raging white water torrent after all the rain recently, I'm sure I saw a canoeist fly past.  Up Beoley Lane I pound, a pair gulls squawking overhead, there will be more than two waking me up in a few days.😩 Over the brow of the hill I spot a pair of doggers making their way up the hill, as we get closer its non other than Johnny Hodges and...

Hello readers, it's that time of the week again when I make a piss poor excuse for not entertaining you all with a walk.... Well not today!! Im back😁. I choose a big coat and hat as its been quite chilly of late, with the clock ticking over to 8.34am, a joint of beef prepared and in the oven and with the temperature a mild 5 degrees centigrade I'm out the back door and off on another #sundaymorningwalk. It's not that cold to be fair, a lovely blue sky and the sun coming up over the cow shed, remnants of an overnight frost still on the grass and path as I make my way to the woods. A squirrel runs across my path and I immediately started to hum the theme to Mission Impossible, I bet you do that everytime you see one too.  A few cars pass as I make my onto the main road, I look up and there is not one vapour trail or plane to be seen, disappointing to say the least. The amount of rubbish in the bushes near Mcdoonalds is disgusting I bet its the same near to your ...

Hello readers, it's that time of the week again, with the clock ticking over to 7.45am (no early early mornings as its still dark), long trousers and Ping showerproof jacket on I'm off out the back door on another #sundaymorningwalk It's a very damp morning in North Worcestershire, the temperature is 7 degrees but feels warmer under the low cloud.I make my way through the woods, the pathway covered with a blanket of fallen leaves.  The leaves that remain in the trees are wonderful colours of red, orange and yellow.  A pair of blackbirds looking breakfast stare at me for a second before flying off.  The babbling brook flowing again after the rains of the past few days. I make my way towards Beoley and up the hill past the memorial to our fallen heroes outside St Leonards Church, I pause for a moment silently thanking them for their sacrifice. A flock of sheeps in the meadow stare at me as I creep closer to take a photo, they...
