16th December 2018
Hello readers, it's that time of the week again when I make a piss poor excuse for not entertaining you all with a walk.... Well not today!! Im back😁.
I choose a big coat and hat as its been quite chilly of late, with the clock ticking over to 8.34am, a joint of beef prepared and in the oven and with the temperature a mild 5 degrees centigrade I'm out the back door and off on another #sundaymorningwalk.
It's not that cold to be fair, a lovely blue sky and the sun coming up over the cow shed, remnants of an overnight frost still on the grass and path as I make my way to the woods.
A squirrel runs across my path and I immediately started to hum the theme to Mission Impossible, I bet you do that everytime you see one too.
A few cars pass as I make my onto the main road, I look up and there is not one vapour trail or plane to be seen, disappointing to say the least.
The amount of rubbish in the bushes near Mcdoonalds is disgusting I bet its the same near to your local fast food outlet. Maybe they should take some responsibility and have a clean up now and again, educating people doesn't seem to be working. Keep Britain Clean!!
Sorry I digress, back to the walk, making my way back into the woods I see a lonely Great Tit, too fast for my camera but beautiful in colour, the usual blackbirds and Robins tweeting away merrily.
Heading home I pass a couple of weary joggers and sigh as I would love to run again but my ageing knees, a lifetime of sport in them they just can't take it anymore 🙁.
Opening the back door to a wonderful smell of cooked meat, silence as the gaffer is still stacking the zzzzzz. Coffee, breakfast then on with my chores for the day.
If you're celebrating a birthday today many happy returns (Clayman).
Just remember it's nice to be nice and don't always judge a book by its cover.
Talking of judges, if you've been called up for jury service in the coming weeks just remember which side of the Dock to stand and don't upset the judge😁.
If you're on a long drive, take it steady and stay safe.
Until next week , have a great Sunday everyone.
Tara for a bit
