Hello readers, it's that time of the week again this time out on location in the capital city of the abandoned shopping trollies Eastbourne.

With the clock ticking over to 7.20am a cup of tea delivered to the gaffer, knees strapped up and running shoes on the temperature a balmy 9 degrees I'm off out the door on another #sundaymorningwalk slash run.
I'm into week 8 of my couchto5k journey Laura in my ear instructs me to begin with a brisk 5 min warm up walk before embarking on a 28 min run.

The route I've chosen is the cuckoo trail behind our guest house, it's relatively flat compared to my run back home but quite boring as I have to turn at Lottebridge Drive and retrace my steps it turns out 4 times.

I really must improve my dietary habits the evening before a run as I don't think beer, a half bottle of house red and a 3 course Italian in Prezzo followed by a birthday glass of Moet (Gaffer's birthday yesterday) back at The Don's mansion is ideal preparation.

Crossing Churchdale Road and past the allotments I trot, the ever present AST dumped in the waterway surrounded by green algae.

I pass and greet 4 early morning elderly doggers, Good Mornings are exchanged as I leave them to their chat, no youngsters up at this hour not even the promise of a Mackies delivered breakfast can stir them from their pit.

As I have said its not cold but as I turn I have the wind in my face which makes the return leg a little difficult, my previous weeks training are working as I feel strong in my legs and my breathing is good.

I really do reccomend this app as it does work and you WILL be running for 30 mins in 9 weeks if you follow the programme
Run finished I continue my walk via Mackies (no I didn't enter) and back down the cycle path.

I take a left up Churchdale and find myself at the end of Lord and Lady Fowlers of Kinfauns drive, everywhere is quiet as a solitary car passes.

I turn and head for home, ducks and moorhens on the waterway, seagulls squawking, no tits only sparrows in the hedgerows, I enter a still quiet house.

4.49 miles completed and time for some breakfast and a coffee
Wherever you are today have a great Sunday everyone and be nice to you OH he may not show it be he does love you so treat him to a nice roast with all the trimmings.

God bless mom 9 years have past and not a day goes by when I dont think about you, you made me the person I am today (ok dad helped too 😉) and I wish I could tell you how much I appreciate it.

For all those out there whose moms are still with us, give her a call and tell her you love her, just because you can.

Until next time readers

Ta-ra for a bit
