7th October 2018
Hello readers, it's that time of the week again, so with the bed stripped and in the washing machine, all the bodies from last nights wild party woken and kicked out (gaffer is in Eastbourne) and with the clear overnight skies plunging the temperature to a chilly 2 degrees with the clock showing 8.20am I'm off out the backdoor on another #sundaymorningwalk /run.
Lovely clear blue skies overhead broken only by the vapour trails of the jet planes flying high above. A light frost on the parked cars, and my breath appearing as I exhale, I make my way through the woods and start to jog.
Im attempting the couch to 5k and I'm on week 4, so I thought I'd combine the Sunday walk with the run breaking from tradition but I hope you don't mind.
The babbling brook has run dry again, so much for my prediction the other week that it would be flowing for the next few months.
Running down Ravensbank drive past my place of work towards the golden arches of mackie D's I pass a pair of doggers, enjoying the morning air and a jogger who is puffing and panting, I wonder if that's what she thought of me as we nod a greeting and trot past.
A Jay darts across my path on his way home with a beak full of food.
Back through the factory units I run/stumble. I'm beginning to regret the Guinness and large kebab of yesterday as my belly bounces up and down lol.
Back though the woods and over the not so babbling brook, run 1 week 4 completed.
I time my 5 minute warm down to perfection as I am almost home. 2.75 miles in 33 mins. Stamina and breathing improving all the time.
Lots of jobs to do before the bride gets home so until next week have a great Sunday everyone and remember to be nice to your hubby today, it may not look like he's done much but he really has.
If you're on a long drive today take care and drive safely and if you're expecting news of a job offer in the coming week, fingers and toes are crossed for you.
No photos this week
So long and Ta-ra for a bit
