Hello readers, it's that time of the week again (doesn't it come round quickly) it's on with the red (not pink), shorts and light hoody with the clock ticking over to 6.53am and a cool 9 degrees I'm out the backdoor off on another #sundaymorningwalk
Very murky, dark and damp today, so much so the security light pops into action as I pass and walk out of the gate.
Light rain in the air but I should be OK.
The song in my head today is 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor as AJ and myself both triumphed yesterday, I think he won a lot more than I did though as all I got was an out of focus photo on Facebook😁.
Some early morning tits braving the drizzle along with a trio of blackbirds and a pair of collared doves dart in and out as I make my way to the bus lane heading towards the Winyates way to the lake.
A cyclist nearly knocks me over, get on the road dear and please ding your bell to warn of your approach, not a happy start.
But I soon cheer up as I spot a dogger on the path with his umbrella up, he pauses to wish me Good Morning, I return the greeting as I pass and he continues with his morning ritual.
The babbling Brook is flowing again and I predict it will now until early summer.
Skirting Winyates West to my left I dart under the underpass and reach the lake ahead of me.
Raindrops pitter patter on the huge expanse of water, the drops getting bigger and more frequent, I put my hood up to protect my flowing locks from the rain.
Bloody Michael Fish, this wasn't in the forecast.
100% on the Good Morning front today which pleases me as I walk a familiar route home through Church Hill South and onto the bus lane. Past the paper shop and home.
No smells from the kitchen as I enter today I'm afraid, I'm treating the wife to an Aldi hunters chicken, I know how to treat a lady.
Special mention today to one of my Cockney sparrow friends who has been walking through the night on a sponsored 26 mile walk, I walked with you for a while Tracey Elaine Hart, hope all the training paid off.
Only the 2.5 miles for me today but its something and it's nice to get out and enjoy the #tranquilityofsolitude.
Out on location again next week readers down in Devon celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary (yes I'm suprised as well 🤣) it may be a Saturday walk typed late on Sunday so please bare with me.
Until next week ladies look after your OH and give him a hug occasionally, he likes them too😁
Look out for the new #sundaymorningwalk Facebook group I'm setting up, share it with your real friends and your pretend friends on Facebook.
Have a great Sunday everyone
Ta-ra for a bit
